Welcome to Denver Psychopoetic, a muti-faceted practice engaged in Archetypal/Imaginal and Post-Modern approaches to psychotherapy, culture and community. This site is currently a home for The Coffeehouse for Social Medicine at Mutiny Information Cafe, Denver Psychopoetic Counseling and Denver Psychopoetic Books.
Denver Psychopoetic is excited to work in partnership with Camp Elasticity and Mutiny Information Café to inaugurate a monthly Coffee House for Social Medicine, Thursdays starting November 6th, 2025. 3pm to 8pm.
CHSM welcomes members of the community interested in exploring strategies in peer-to-peer, “friend-led”, mutual-aid, encompassing mental, imaginal, and cultural health. In a time of scarce resources and rising anxiety the need for greater exploration of practices outside of traditional institutions has become clear.
We embrace the concept of Radical Helping – encompassing activism, creativity, mental and somatic health, esoteric practices, and other methods that counter destructive, modernist narratives. Inspired by the history of radical coffee houses and contemporary projects such as the Casino for Social Medicine in Berlin’s Neukoln district.
We hope our ongoing conversation at Mutiny will evolve to reflect Denver’s unique character and the needs of a diverse, inclusive community.
Denver Psychopoetic is a multi-faceted practice engaged in Narrartive/Post-Modern and Archetypal/Imaginal approaches to psychotherapy, culture and community.
Camp Elasticity is an independent publisher, and website engaging in poetics, punk metaphysics, citizen journalism, countercultural studies and more.
Mutiny Information Café has long been Denver’s home for books, comics, zines, events and radical information.
The Coffeehouse for Social Medicine does not speak with one voice but is intended as place for mutual learning and experimentation.
Attending the Coffeehouse for Social Medicine is not therapy but may change your life.
